Stenosis: A narrowing, as in:

aortic stenosis (narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart), pulmonary stenosis (narrowing of the pulmonary valve of the heart), pyloric stenosis (narrowing of the outlet of the stomach), and spinal stenosis (narrowing of the vertebral canal).
